Ruptures: Landscapes of Community Care
March 21, 2026 - June 21, 2026
Dyke+ Art Haus, Philadelphia, PA
Ruptures: Landscapes of Community Care is a publication and a site specific sculptural installation inspired by queer world building and collective action. Installed in the kitchen of Dyke+ Art Haus in Philadelphia, the work pulls recipes of comfort sourced from our queer community alongside moments of revolution and altered motifs of domesticity. Embracing the tension between organic textures and intricate gridded weavings, the work questions what can grow when systems break and rupture. Acknowledging the legacy of LGBTQ+ interdependence and the life affirming sacred space of sharing a meal, the installation is accompanied by dishes made by artists KT Abadir-Mullally and Natalie Manes.
